Spring at Disney is one of my favorite times of the year. Everything blooms with colors. One of my favorite festivals is this time of year as well. The Flower and Garden Festival. I am so excited that the date for the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival has been released. It’s a perfect time to start planning your Disney vacation.
With spring on it’s way I wanted to take a moment to share some of my favorite things about Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. This can help you if you have never been before.
Best Things at Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Disney Character Topiaries
Disney’s talented team of horticulturists have created a beautiful landscape across the park. You’ll find topiaries throughout the park as well at the entrance of Epcot and World Showcase. Topiaries include life-size recreations of Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Bambi, Winnie the Pooh, Miss Piggy, and my favorite Beauty and the Beast, as well as many others.
Okay, we all know Disney has some of the best food. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I am always a happy girl to check out the kiosks that are around the showcase. They are some of the best food and they give you just enough but not too much so you can visit many. I suggest getting a gift card at one of the gift shops at the beginning of the World Showcase and put an amount on it so you can stay on budget.
Music is one of the highlights of this festival for me. This year though there won’t be any series concerts due to COVID-19 but there will still be music to hear, Live events include:
Jammin’ Gardeners (Canada Mill Stage)
Tap your feet to the syncopated sounds of the funkiest gardeners around.
Voices of Liberty (America Gardens Theatre)
Get swept away by inspiring vocal performances celebrating America’s spirit and beauty.
Mariachi Cobre (America Gardens Theatre)
Enjoy an exuberant performance of world-famous, traditional folk music.
Pianist (World Showplace)
Relax and enjoy a selection of songs of the season.
The festival features almost two dozen themed gardens and other displays throughout the park. You can take a stroll through the Shakespeare Garden in the United Kingdom pavilion, the Twining Tea Garden in the UK, the Goodness Garden Butterfly House, and more.
No trip to Disney would be complete without some shopping. No trip would be complete without a new mug or ears. There are so many other wonderful things to buy from garden decorations to t-shirts and more. It really is a wonderful array of items to choose from.
