One of my biggest tips for clients doing Disney with a mobility struggle is to take advantage of after-hour events. This is the best way to see Disney with less heat, fewer crowds, and some added magic.
When Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween got canceled due to Covid I was sad I love holidays at Disney. But then I heard the news Disney was bringing us an after-hours Boo Bash and I was beyond excited. I am pretty sure I bounced about more than Tigger does on a sunny day.
Now to be honest the Boo Bash will be different from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween but the fun will be the same. So you may be wondering what do I get with my Disney Boo Bash Tickets. Well, I am happy to answer that.
Disney After Hours Boo Bash Event
Boo Bash Candy Spots
Just like with MNSSH candy distribution spots will be randomly placed throughout Magic Kingdom Park. They are easy to find as Disney uses these huge light-up posts to signal a candy center.
Costumes are allowed to be worn by adults and children while trick or treating in the park. However, costume masks are not permitted for adults; they can only be worn by children under 14. Before you arrive for the “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” event, please check the Know Before You Go page and Costume Policy for the most up-to-date information.
Though parades are not back in full rotation we are treated to mini parades or cavalcades as they are called. This means when the Halloween festivities begin we are treated to some very special cavalcades.
These special pop-up cavalcades will include “Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade,” with Mickey Mouse and friends dressed up for the occasion. In the “Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade,” villains will take to the street and celebrate their favorite time of the year. “Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade” will feature Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie riding down the parade path to “This Is Halloween,” and last, but definitely not least (we would never say that about her!), Maleficent will also make an appearance in the form of a fire-breathing dragon.
Some of your favorite friends will be lurking about – from the lovely Miss Carlotta at the Haunted Mansion to Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale in their Halloween best, with other surprise characters popping up across the park, too. You can even stop and listen to the Cadaver Dans during their special comeback (from the dead) performance.
Fun Photo Pass Options
One of my favorite parts of using a photo pass and purchasing a memory maker is the fun photo ops. During holidays like Halloween, they get even more fun. You can get all kinds of fun spooky effects added to your photos to make them even more magical.
Boo Bash Food
A variety of specialty food and drinks will be available for purchase including an Apple Ginger Dale frozen drink (frozen apple cider mixed with ginger ale and topped with whipped cream) and a Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake.). I am excited to try both of these.
Along with specialty food items you can purchase there will also be complimentary snacks like ice cream novelties and popcorn, along with select beverages, are included in the cost of the event.
The best part is when the park closes to day guests, you as an event ticket holder get to enjoy the park. This means less time waiting in line for more than 20 attractions including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion attraction, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain, and more. It’s the best way to enjoy some of the more popular attractions that hold longer wait times during the day.
Disney After Hours Boo Bash will take place on select nights beginning August 10th. Ticket are on sale beginning June 15th. Be sure to get with your Disney Travel Planner for more details and to purchase your tickets or visit the Disney website for more information.
